Ecosystems video

This is the video we saw the start of in class, if you have time watch the rest of it as it has plenty of information to do with what we've been looking at.

Today you need to make sure you've finished the first assignment and put everything in your red folder, so Mr. Cole can mark it for you. That means you need:

• 2 keys (one for snakes, one for plants).
• The answers to the questions from the post below this one.

For the last part of the ecosystems assignment, we have to classify plants (just like you did with the snakes).  Watch this video, then cut out and classify the 8 plants to finish the assignment!

Assignment 1

Today we're going to start the first assignment.  Look at this link, which shows a classification key for snakes, just like what we 're going to make today.

   

1. Use the sheet to classify these snakes into different groups, cutting them out and sticking them down once you've checked them with a teacher.

2. For the next part of the assignment, you will need to list the 5 kingdoms of living things in a word document. Make sure you give two examples of each kingdom, and a picture or drawing of them.

3. You also need to explain the difference between invertebrates and vertebrates.  This should be about two sentences of writing, giving an example of each.

4. Finally, list the five classes of vertebrates here and give three features of each of them.
